Paint a Wall Challenge

We received a mail from CommunIT on 5th Sept 2022 on a fun activity to paint the wall which will help us learn more about the Painting Process and show our talent/creativity. I registered for the same. Then the golf area got renovated into the wall wherein we could apply paint. Next, we got to hear from the team was on 9th Nov. We will be partitioning the wall into 5 sections and so have divided the participants into different teams. There were 5 themes: Sports, Space, Music, Nature, Abstract. Each team has to come up with an idea and paint the section allocated to them. Now again two months went nowhere. The year 2022 was gone and are we still on the challenge??? Finally, the painting demo session was conducted on 11th Jan,2023 wherein actual painters visited the floor with the painting equipment's and paint colors. The person demoed on how to apply basecoat and topcoat and then showed us how to perform some textures. Some of us even got our hands dirty. The golf area, now the paint area, was narrow so it felt a bit suffocating. 

The long walls were divided into rectangles. So, the team and theme idea were striked out and we were given individual sections. Now there were upper and lower sections, and many got changed their names from up to down for the upper sections need to be painted standing on a ladder, which means you need a friend to hold the ladder for you so that you do not fall down. It would then be "Humpty Dumpty was painting the wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall". Some started off on 11th itself while most of us geared up for it in the morning on 12th Jan. We received a green plastic apron and a pair of gloves. We had to choose a basecoat color and a roller to apply the same and let it dry. There was a chaotic situation around 4pm for everyone wanted to complete their painting. There was hardly space to stand and here people wanted to see other people paint. There had been close encounters on the paint buckets falling or the ladder going into those. Some people did get one of their shoes accidentally painted. While most of the sections got completed, a few enthusiasts did complete on 13th Jan. Everyone did put their best creativity on the wall. Here are a few....
