College
As per
the norms of the society, the best crowd of SSC pass out students should enroll into the best
colleges in Mumbai. My father's decision was finalized (even before my SSC
Board Exams) that I have to be a student of D. G. Ruparel College. However
being in a competitive world there would be many such fathers who want to get
their children enrolled in the A+ colleges of Mumbai; I could not make it to
the first list (the cut-off was 655 and my score was 654). The difference of 1 mark
made me wait till the second list was released. Finally this Hermoine got
enrolled in her so-called Hogwarts (read the link to know why). The Junior College Life passed
in the blink of an eye; in the vicinity of lush green campus and trying out
magic in the laboratories with my wizard friends.
I
missed the opportunity to grab a seat in the Medical Flight. I refrained to
even stand in the queue of Engineering. Finally I got my educational pass
stamped for three years in the Information Technology Express; I had booked the
ticket as a second option in the very same college. Now it wasn't Hogwarts
any more since many of my wizard friends flew away in their Firebolts; a few
did remain for company (their Nimbus 2007 destroyed by the destiny, just like
mine). I tried my best to sync into the technology river; but there was always
a fear in my mind of "What after this?" Experience is what you get,
when you do not get what you want. Here are the three years of this Alice in
Technoland:
Do
not ask me why I wanted a distance learning experience. Some questions have no
answer. This three years journey made me watch the world through a bigger
perspective. I wanted to manage something else alongwith office. I was still
not out of the college campus mood and wanted to keep it going partially
at least. Balancing me on two different stones at a time was a task in itself.
Here's the hexagonal journey of the distant path wherein I got to learn a bit of French language:
