Flying from Country2 to Country3

Day Five continues …

We had a flight journey from Bergen Flesland airport, Norway to Stockholm Arlanda airport, Sweden. Now the readers might think, why a separate post for the airport journey! Its worth a post! We reached the airport at 2pm. We had to self-check-in our bags through the kiosk machine. Vihar briefed us on the steps. I always wished for the same at Mumbai airport so that I can load my luggage asap and select the window seat! But since I travel as a part of group, most cases its not allowed and some cases we need to pay extra amount. Back to the kiosk, we had to enter our booking reference number, search for our name and then print the boarding pass, scan it and print luggage tag. It did not ask to select a seat! But I got a window so no worries. 

We had to wrap and stick the luggage tag on the check-in bag, stick the tiny tags on both sides of the bag, small tag behind the boarding pass and put the check-in bag on the bag drop area. The machine scans our luggage tag and asks for the boarding pass scan. Once both match and the weight is under limit, the bag moves ahead. All these was done in just 20mins. We walked towards the security checking; bags were screened and then we had free time till the boarding. Some went shopping, some had coffee in restaurants, etc. I spent time scanning books at the shop. 

The gate was announced and we had a task searching it. Finally, we reached the gate and the waiting area was closed. So, now search for a place to sit. The waiting area was opened and the flight was delayed. The boarding started at 05:15pm. The Scandinavian airline (SAS) SK898 seats were arranged as AC | DF. My seat was 11A and Sonal Singh was on adjacent seat. The flight took off at 05:40pm. We were served coffee. I witnessed the fjords from the train and boat and now its was time to view those through the sky. I saw the Bindalsfjorden and other fjords.

At 6pm, we were flying over the Hallingskarvet mountain range. We landed on the Arlanda airport at 7pm, walked our way to the luggage belt, picked up the same in 15mins and then walked outside the airport. It took 15mins to pull the bag from the Terminal 4 to our bus parking. 

We queued up for loading the luggage and then drove to our dinner restaurant, Best of India, Frejgatan and reached there at 08:30pm. I had dinner with Manasi, Freny and Suchitra. 

Post dinner we strolled around for some time and reached our hotel Western Plus Park Airport, Arlandastad at 10pm. My room no was 421. We freshened up and dozed off.
