A scary rainy night

October 2017 was more of rainy season than autumn. I had been staying in office late for completing work before Diwali. It was 9th Oct, 2017, usual late evening to leave office at 08:30 pm and catching a slow train for Virar. I reached Virar station at 10:30 pm and started walking towards home. I was about to get into the shortcut lane at Reliance Fresh that it started raining. I had an umbrella, those who didn't, rescued to nearby shop. A middle-aged man got into my umbrella. He was drunk, I could recognise this from the smell of alcohol. He insisted to go alongwith me since he didn't have an umbrella. There should be humanity I agree but safety comes first. I stopped and requested him to get out of my umbrella and stand at some shop. Since many didn't have umbrella, they were standing. I was the only one to walk with umbrella. I got into the lane and there was a power cut. Now what to do? Search for mobile? It was far inside in the bag. There was a lightning, as if God did show me the torch. I ran at full speed, through the complete lane to the main road. It was very scary for there was complete blackout except the blinking light from the sky. I breathed heavily and then walked as fast as I could to reach home.
