What's in my travel bag?

My Travel Bag

I carry a duffle trolley (8.5kg) and a handbag (3.5kg, with a sling bag) for all my tours. This is the luggage for a max 13 day tour. But I have promised myself not to exceed this luggage limit, even if the number of days exceed. I have learnt on the packing better with each tour. Well, I cannot say that I am a pro at it, but here's what goes into my bag.

Sling bag: I use it to keep all the important documents, wallet, mobile. And carry it during all the sightseeing, and even to the washroom. You can see the same in all my photos.

Handbag: Water bottle, Book, Gadgets, Chocolates, Medicines, Comb, Pocket Mirror, Bracelets, Woollen Hat, Scarf, Wristwatch, Sunglasses, and other essentials.

Duffle Trolley: Everything excluding the above stuff.

Important Documents: Passport, Aadhar card, PAN card, Vaccination certificate, Tour booking details, Itinerary, Hotels booking and addresses, Flight details and online boarding pass, notepad and pen, Passport size photos, Emergency Contacts in notepad.

Money: Cash (notes of different denominations), Debit Cards (at least two), Coins.

Gadgets: Mobile, Charger, Earphones, Universal Travel Adaptor (must for international travels). I do not carry a power bank yet since the One Plus 6 battery lasts for a whole day, I dim the brightness and keep it on airplane mode during the journey and while I am not clicking photos. Also for the hard drive, I take a backup of all the current data in my phone on the hard drive and keep it home. Since travel is a digital detox for me, I prefer minimal gadgets.

Shoes & Socks: Since I love the mountains and snow, I have bought snow proof and waterproof hiking shoes from Decathlons. These are damn good for walking in the snow and walking on ice. Also, these are good for everyday tour walking. Apart from hiking shoes, I had a pair of heels (for a fashion show). But now since there is no fashion show, I carry casual sandals. For x days, I carry x/2 pairs of socks. I take precaution on not wetting the socks.

First Aid Kit and essentials: Medicines like Avomine (for motion sickness), Saridon (for headache), Vicks cold drops (for throat), Recofast (for cough and cold), Meftel Forte (for body pain and fever), Biquinol (for stomach upset), Eno powder (for acidity), Lifebuoy sanitizer, Dettol antiseptic liquid (in case I need to wash any cloth), Surgical Cotton (covering ears all the time), Soft wipes, Vicks Vaporub (for cold), Iodex (for pain), Amrutanjan (for headache), Band aid, Kailas jeevan/Soframycin antiseptic cream, Chocolates (for energy).

Toiletries: Dove soap (smallest pack), Aloevera facewash (in small bottle), Nivia moisturising lotion (smallest pack), Shampoo sachets (takes less space than bottle), Hair Serum, Nivia Cherry Lip Balm (I do not use lipstick), Meswak Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Sanitary Napkin (as required), Lakme Absolute face cream, compact, Lakme Sunscreen, Ponds powder small bottle, Layer Wottagirl Perfume, Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, Hair pins and safety pins.

Clothes:
Thermals: a pair of thermal tops and a lower from Bodycare.
Heavy woollen: coat (this works as sweater plus wind cheater), woollen gloves.
Inner wears: 6 sports bras from Bodycare, 6 panties, 4 slips, 2 slax.
Pants: 1 full length jeans, 1 capri, 1 shorts, 1 night track pant.
Tops: x tops for x days, one extra top, Jacket, 2 dresses.
Other essentials: Towel and face napkin, handkerchiefs, one cloth bag for unused clothes, one cloth bag for used ones, belt (one extra).
