School Days: Hindi Period

Since I was studying in English medium school, Hindi subject started at a later stage. The subject was taught in full fledge from Class V. Hence we had to not only learn the basics asap, but also write short essays in the language. Shweta Patil teacher taught us then. We also had the Hindi Rashtrabhasha exams starting from the same year. The yearly syllabus was asked in this exam alongwith some supplementary books on hindi stories. Sarita Pandya teacher taught us in Class VI. Just like the Science Question Bank, we had the Hindi QB ready to learn from before the exam. Mangella teacher taught us in Class VII and the grandma stories continued for the year alongwith learning. Since Class VIII, we had half Sanskrit and half Hindi. So then the half Hindi was taught by Raut Sir (Jitendra Raut) till Class X. Sir never gave us full marks for brief answers. He mentioned that you need to write extra points for extra marks. All the years of learning a new language in school is a memory now.
