Indoor games I like the most

Chess
It is played on a chessboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 grid of black and white. At the start, each player controls sixteen pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, and eight pawns. White moves first, followed by Black. The game is won by checkmating the opponent's king, i.e. threatening it with inescapable capture.

Carrom
It is a tabletop game in which players flick discs, attempting to knock them to the corners of the board. A carrom set contains 19 pieces (striker not included) in three distinct colours: one for each player, and another for the queen. The usual colours are white (or unstained) and black for the players and red for the queen. The player must pocket the queen and subsequently pocket a carrom man of the player's own colour. This is termed covering the queen.

Ludo
It is a strategy board game for two to four players, in which the players race their four tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single die.

Snakes and ladders
It is played on a game board with numbered, gridded squares. A number of "ladders" and "snakes" are pictured on the board, each connecting two specific board squares. The object of the game is to navigate one's game piece, according to die rolls, from the start (bottom square) to the finish (top square), helped by climbing ladders but hindered by falling down snakes.

Pool

The game is played on a six pocket table with a standard set of fifteen numbered and colored object balls and a white cue ball. Object balls are racked in a triangle with the 15-ball as the apex ball, placed at the foot spot. Behind it are the other high numbered balls with the rest in the back rows, usually in descending order. A number on a ball pocketed by a player on a legal shot scores that number of points and entitles shooter to continue at the table until failing to do so. The object is to be the first player to score at least 61 points to win a frame.
