Staying in a Villa

I was attending my 10th PAN IT Planning Meet at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Karjat. I had travelled for quite some time now and have stayed in twin sharing rooms and single rooms. I would have never stayed in a villa for sure. But some wishes get fulfilled unknowingly, thanks to the Core Team to finalize this place. The bus no 4 started from the Omkareshwar Temple in Borivali to Karjat. While I slept on the entire journey, my mind was going through the flashback of planning meets attended so far (apart from the last two WFH years).

Year 2013: The Retreat Hotel, Malad
Year 2014: The Corinthians Resort, Pune
Year 2015: The Taj Lands End, Bandra
Year 2016: The St. Regis, Lower Parel
Year 2017: Novotel, Juhu
Year 2018: Hotel Sahara Star, Vile Parle
Year 2019: Four Seasons, Mahalaxmi

This venue was the best so far, the reason being the title of the blog. I woke up to view a postcard landscape: the flowing Ulhas river alongside the series of houses and a mountain background. The bus drove left and straight and finally we entered the hotel.

The conference hall was in the Aster building.

On the way to Aster, we passed through:

Post the session wrap up on Day 1, we got our room keys and had to get back to the conference hall for Gala Night. My roommates were Sathiya and Meera. I picked my bag and we started searching in the breakfast area for the way to the room. The hotel staff guided us and finally we reached the villa.

Our room was last in the row. Looking at the villa, I felt happy; the fatigue of waking up at 4AM, boarding 5:07AM train from Virar, the bus journey till Karjat, etc was gone. Let take you to the villa tour:

Open the door to enter the high ceiling living room

There is an LCD TV, long sofa, two single sofas, coffee table, and the dinning table.

There is a master bedroom with an adjacent bathroom.

There is a kitchen area with fridge.

There is a stairway to go to the first floor.

There is an open area with can be used for hosting parties. We used it to wave hello to our friends staying in opposite villa. Then there is a master bedroom with attached bathroom and a balcony.

The complimentary breakfast on Day 2 was lipsmacking.

There was a variety of food to eat and drink. There was a pool adjacent to the breakfast area.

Its a quiet and awesome place to spend a weekend with family, friends, or even solo by getting detached from the buzzing city and recharging your heart and soul.
