System's Celebrate Navratri
Navratri is the festival of nine nights, celebrated for the triumph of Goddess Durga over Mahishasur. Goddess Durga is worshipped and garba and dandiya raas is in full swing throughtout nine nights. Not just this, a colour is assigned to every day, and most of the Mumbaikars follow it. The Nine Colour Chart gets published in Maharashtra Times and also other newspapers. In Asian Paints, we also get a mail from the cmn_vakola_admin on what colour to wear for the nine days. Its not a mandatory thing to do, but its fun to come dressed in the same colour. This year CommunIT came up with the idea of dividing the floor into 9 groups and having fun games since Jun 2022. For Sep 2022, the game was to have the group photos clicked (dressed in the colour of the day). Day One (White) started with a few groups submitting photos. Then it picked up from Day Two to Day Four. People borrowed jerseys, jackets, hoodies, and what not, to get the maximum participants in the photo. The max no. of participants decided the winner on the day. But while doing all these in the name of earning points, little did we realize that we were creating memories. The festival ended with three group performances and an hour of playing garba in the canteen on the ninth day. Here are day-wise group photos.
Day One White Colour
Day Two Red Colour
Day Three Blue Colour
Day Four Yellow Colour
Day Five Green Colour
Day Eight Peacock Green Colour
Day Nine Pink Colour
