Final Destination: Bloodlines

Planning a movie outing with office friends is a task which keeps changing dates infinitely. I was glad that my movie friend circle are interested in the horror/action genre. Tickets were booked by Prathmesh for the said date and movie at the Oberoi mall, Goregaon. It was an evening show. We left office at 4:45pm and drove in Shraddha's i20. We includes me, Lozika, Pronoy, Prathamesh and Shraddha. We reached the venue, parked the car and were wandering around till Abhishek and Kiran joined us. We entered the PVR and ordered snacks. There were a series of movie trailers and post the national anthem, the movie started. We had our snacks served in the first half.
The movie starts with sky tower opening event for all viewers. The protagonist and her fiance go up the lift to the observatory deck. One small coin turns out to be the trigger point for the catastrophic end of the tower as well as all the people aboard. Each death is depicted in a different way, good work of creativity of the movie team. Watching the same on a big screen was terrifying but we know that it's a movie. Back to the movie scene, it turns out to be a recurring nightmare of the protagonist's grand daughter. Then starts the journey of finding the protagonist and how she saved everyone with her intuition. She stays isolated from her family, protecting herself from death as to avoid the sequential death of her family tree. But she embraced death after sharing the stories with her grand daughter. Then starts a series of making every possible attempt to save the family and eventually getting defeated by death. The Final Destination movie series always ends with the death of people who were supposed to have died sooner but cheated death. So did happen in this season. I was expecting a different ending. One thing is clear, embrace death when it comes, you can fight it but do not cheat it, for it becomes a cruel death. Post the terrifying movie, we had a dinner in food court and as usual me, Lozika, Abhishek had to run for the Virar train.
