North East Odyssey: Part Seven

Borgos Special

Spa Evening (29.11.2021)

We stayed at Dcourtyard Resort in Kaziranga. Borgos, the Wild Haven is a luxurious resort at a 10 minutes drive from our hotel. Mallika and Shraddha found this place and all the girl gang decided to pamper ourselves at the Spa in this hotel. As mentioned in earlier post, on reaching our hotel, we immediately drove the Innova to Borgos. The entrance itself gave a wow feeling, wooden seating arrangements, long stairs and fishtanks on both sides. We were mesmerized with the fragrance of ratrani flower on our way to the spa section. I could have walked the resort for hours getting engrossed in this fragrance. The spa section was near the swimming pool area. We reached by 7PM but since there were only four staff members, Shraddha, Mallika, Shweta and Krupali had foot massage and rest of us were exploring the resort. We had a Veg Grilled Pizza at the Elephant Restaurant.
The restaurant walls were covered with paintings of elephants. The pizza was delicious. Then we went back to the spa section. Shweta and Krupali were done, so Shreya and Hiteshree went for foot massage. Then it was Swati's turn for head massage. I was waiting the longest till 08:45PM, browsing through the spa menu and then photos in my mobile.

Head Massage
Finally, it was my turn to enjoy the head massage. They used cold pressed olive oil for the head massage. A head massage is a deep style massage that focuses on the head, neck and shoulders. It applies a range of techniques to help reduce stress and release tension in the upper body. Massaging the scalp can help stimulate nerves and blood vessels around the area and begin to calm muscle tension around the head. At Borgos, the head massage included massage of the head, neck, shoulders, both hands and the backbone, using the acupressure technique. After head massage, a warm napkin was wrapped around the hair. The 30 minutes actually relieved me from stress and fatigue. After Arunachal trip, this is a must for any traveller. I should have also chosen foot massage but since it was my first time at spa, I thought of not experimenting and sticking to one massage only.

There was an issue with the hair wash, in between the water was running cold and it felt like the female staff had not cleaned the hair thoroughly. So Shraddha, Mallika and Swati were stuck till they the hair washed properly. Rest of us were waiting at the reception area. Bhushan had already alarmed that its too late to send the Innova to pick us. Both of them (Bhushan and Tapan) managed to wake the driver and send him to pick us. Anyone who is disturbed on a sound sleep, will definitely get irritated. Jayanta arrived at the venue, we got into the Innova and apologized for the delay. That night he drove us swiftly from Borgos to our hotel.

Dinner at the Elephant Restaurant (30.11.2021)
Since we had food at this restaurant in group of three or four, we decided to have a dinner evening on the next day. Having done a lot of tea shopping, we were back to our hotel. The garden area was getting prepared for tea, coffee and campfire. We again requested Bhushan for the Innova since we had a dinner plan at Borgos. He requested us to be back on time, before the Bihu Dance. We skipped the tea coffee and left for Borgos around 6PM. It was an amazing experience of driving in the star lit sky. The sky seemed to be so close to us as if we were in a planetarium. Indeed we were in Nature's Planetarium. We were welcomed at the restaurant.
Most of the orders were Non-Veg: included starters, pizzas, etc. I do not know the exact names.

There were three Veg orders for myself and Hiteshree since only both of us were Veg. There was Penne Pasta with pink sauce, Pesto Spaghati and Veg Dimsum

While both pasta and spaghati were delicious; dimsum were not as tasty as they should have been. Starters included french fries as usual.
We had stomach-full and heart-full of delicious meal after a long time. We did order Apple pie for dessert but it was a task to finish it.
Done with the dinner, we clicked some photos at the entrance gate, till Jayanta arrived to pick us.
