Beyond cakes and candles and decorations and celebrations!!!

My birthday plans were abruptly crashed this year. What I thought would be a 4-day weekend trip, turned out to be a day only with self. I got up early morning, boarded the train and alighted at Dadar station. I have spent more than a decade of my life at Santacruz but Dadar still feels home. I reached Udyan Ganesh temple at 8am. I expressed my gratitude towards ganpati bappa for these many years of good health including travels. 

I vividly remember coming here a year ago with my close friend Supriya Tarse, the vulnerable me asking for the removal of negativity from my life. Today I had the courage of coming here alone, in my own company. Further I walked to the beach. The rough waters crashing on the shore were no less than those in my life. Strangely there was something calm in the chaos. 

Then I headed to McD as usual for a birthday brunch. Happy birthday to me! 

Lessons learnt today:

It is not necessary to wish everyone at midnight, you can do the same in morning. Another one at Dadar station: I was waiting for the Virar Fast, two Borivali trains arrived and departed, then a Malad and an AC local, followed by a Bhayander, Nallasopara and Vasai! Finally the Virar Fast arrived after waiting for 30 minutes! Sometimes we can do nothing but wait at the platform of life, rather than getting into whichever train possible and wondering on what to do next.
